Orion Entry Station PE
General
The Orion Entry Station works in parallel, or as
part of a Zeag system network. The tilt back
design of the cabinet enables the parker to
position the car close to the Orion Entry
Station. The induction loop detects a vehicle
and magnetically coded short-term parking
tickets are issued automatically or by pressing
the button. The Orion Entry Station controls
access entitlement of Users through tenant
cards, lease cards, bank cards, credit or
prepaid cards and AVI tags. To improve
further security, all relevant data is stored on
the ticket as well.
Controls and Housing
Well-designed, the controls are laid out
ergonomically. The smart housing makes
optimum use of space. Heavy-duty and
corrosion-resistant. The assemblies are
simple to maintain and readily accessible for
easy servicing. The Vacuum Fluorescent
Display (VFD) is self luminous providing
excellent readability of user information.
UCD Read/Write Unit
The Zeag Parking proprietary read/write unit
UCD has been expressly developed for
parking applications. The UCD assures the
prompt and efficient processing of all data
methods from the paper ticket to the credit
card using a single insertion slot. Advanced
thermal printing technology is used for clear
text printing. The device works reliably and
requires practically no maintenance because
of the optimized design and the small number
of mechanical parts.
Security
The coded information is stored repetitively on the data
medium. Segmental valuation of the data blocks and
the fault correction logic guarantee superior
operational security. Falsified card use and cards with
counterfeit or insufficient data are exposed and
rejected or retained. Tickets, which have not been
taken by drivers, are retained at the Orion Entry Station.
All the transaction data stored is safeguarded with a
power failure protection by means of a buffer battery.
