License Plate Recognition (LPR)

CTR's license plate recognition system provides a high-tech solution for reducing parking fraud related to the use of stolen or swapped tickets.

Infrared cameras placed at the entrance of a parking facility capture the license plate number of each parked vehicle. When the vehicle exits the facility, the license plate number and the number of the parking ticket issued are matched and the proper fee is calculated.

If the ticket number does not correspond with the recorded license plate number, the transaction is flagged and reported to a supervisor for review.

Airports throughout the US have had great success in preventing parking fraud by implementing our license plate recognition systems. LPR systems also provide an added measure of security, supplying venues with a current listing of all vehicles parked in the facility at any given time.
